Frequently asked questions
How do I get to Rishikesh?
Fly into Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun (DED), which receives daily flights from Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore. From there, Rishikesh is a 45-minute drive. We arrange private pickup — just share your flight details. Alternatively, train to Haridwar Junction (25 km south) then taxi to Tapovan.
Do I need a visa to study yoga in India?
Most foreign nationals require a visa. For programs of 30 days or fewer, a Tourist Visa or e-Tourist Visa works. The e-Visa can be applied online and is typically approved within 72 hours. We provide an admission letter to support your application.
What is the best time of year to visit?
September through November (post-monsoon, clear air, full river) and February through May (pleasant warmth, dry skies) are ideal. Monsoon season (July–August) brings heavy rainfall. December and January can be chilly — mornings dip to around 5°C — but many students enjoy the quiet intensity.
